GREEN DAY WILL HEADLINE THE MTV WORLD STAGE IN SEVILLE

"Wake me up when September ends…" Well, September has ended and Green Day is AWAKE! This 2019 MTV EMA Best Rock nominee will headline "MTV World Stage Seville," closing out "MTV Music Week" at the city's spectacular Plaza de España on Saturday, 2 November.

These guys are no strangers to the MTV EMA – in 2016 they were honored with the "MTV EMA Global Icon" award and we are ecstatic to see them perform once again at this year's show! Formed in 1986 in Berkeley, CA, Green Day is one of the world's best-selling bands of all time, with more than 70 million records sold worldwide and 10 billion cumulative audio/visual streams. Their 1994 breakout album Dookie, which sold over 10 million and achieved diamond status, is widely credited with popularizing and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock, catapulting a career-long run of #1 hit singles. In 2015, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility.

Green Day isn't stopping there! They recently released their brand new single "Father Of All…," which is the lead track on their forthcoming thirteenth studio album of the same name. Stay tuned – their latest album will be available 7 February, 2020 on Reprise/Warner Records and their worldwide tour begins on 13 June in Paris.
