Post Malone has had a wild 2018. His music has topped charts around the world, his songs have been covered by huge stars like Shawn Mendes and 5 Seconds of Summer, he's gearing up for the tour of his life and he's been nominated for five EMA awards including  the highly coveted Best Artist Award. 

So is Post Malone the Best Artist of 2018? Here are 10 reasons he might be:

2.  beerbongs & bentleys broke a crazy amount of records, like when it was streamed over 78 million times on Spotify within 24 hours of its release.

3.  Post Malone and Ty Dolla $ign managed to make the apocalypse look pretty cool and strangely fun in the video for "Psycho." Post served some incredible looks and proved more music videos need flamethrowers.

4.  Post teamed up with some of the hottest rappers like Nicki Minaj, Ty Dolla $ign, Swae Lee and 21 Savage to make beerbongs and bentleys an epic album.

5.  The album's lead single "rockstar" is certified platinum in 13 countries and won Song of the Year at the VMAs in August.

8.  Post Malone broke multiple records set by music legends. He became the first artist to have nine songs simultaneously in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. He beat out The Beatles and J.Cole, who had six songs in the top 20 at once. He also broke Michael Jackson's record for most weeks on Billboard's Top R&B and Hip Hop Albums chart.
