Who Is Bebe Rexha?

Get to know your EMAs hostess with mostest: Bebe Rexha!

She's low-key been behind tons of pop songs that everyone knows and loves. You've probably heard Bebe Rexha's striking vocals alongside G-Eazy's rapping, on the track, "Me Myself & I."  A few years ago, Bebe co-wrote Eminem and Rihanna's "The Monster," which went on to be nominated for Best Song at the 2014 EMAs.  She also teamed up with David Guetta and Nicki Minaj on the song, "Hey Mama." She's also behind some Tinashe, Selena Gomez, and Iggy Azalea songs.  Basically everything she touches is pop-rap gold.

She won an award for songwriting when she was 15. Bebe knew she wanted to work in the music industry at a young age and started taking songwriting seriously as a teen.  She entered New York "Grammy Day," a competition hosted by National Academy or Arts & Science, and ended up winning the "Best Teen Songwriter" award.

She's Albanian and grew up in New York City. Bebe's parents immigrated from Albania to New York City, where she was born, in the 1980s.   She was actually born Bleta Rexha.  Bleta means bumble bee in Albanian so Bebe makes for a perfect nickname.

She loves chokers.  Spend a few minutes looking at Bebe's Instagram and it becomes obvious that the girl is obsessed with chokers.  Her choker love makes sense given the fact that she draws inspiration from  90s icons like Aaliyah, TLC and Britney Spears.  Hint: Bebe's known to prowl New York City's Chinatown for fun chokers.

She's toured with Nick Jonas and Ellie Goulding. In 2015, Bebe opened for Nick Jonas on the U.S. leg of his tour.  Then Ellie Goulding fans were introduced to Bebe and her amazing pipes this year when she joined Ellie on her Delirium Tour. We can't wait to see Bebe perform at the EMAs!
