Ariana, 5SOS, Katy & 1D Win EMAs

EMA newcomers and familiar faves shared the 2014 honours!

November 8, 2014
It was a celebratory night at the 2014 MTV EMA in Glasgow, where first-time honourees and familiar EMA favourites got to congratulate one another on their triumphs!

2013 backstage host Ariana Grande earned her first nominations this year and performed for the first time—and came away with two wins! 5 Seconds of Summer, who earlier won their first local EMA as Best Australia Act, scored their first two EMAs in global categories—Best New and Best PUSH—within moments of each other.

Meanwhile, EMA favourites like Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Linkin Park, One Direction, and Thirty Seconds to Mars picked up shiny new gongs to add to their collections…but even though they’re no strangers to EMA wins, they were anything but jaded, giving their fans thanks as heartfelt as ever. (Which is no doubt part of why you keep voting for them!)
